Temecula - The Temecula stake recently took first place in the religious category for their float - Faith, Family and Freedom - in the city's annual 4th of July parade in Old Town, Temecula. Their float consisted of a 25 flag salute commemorating the anniversary of Temecula's Star Spangled parade. Approximately 25 Boy Scouts, 30 Cub Scouts and 14 active duty military and veterans of the Temecula stake participated that day in honor of those who serve to preserve the faith, family and freedom in our great country and throughout the world.
Trumpeter, and Eagle Scout, James Anderson, played “My Country Tis of Thee” in tribute to all servicemen including his Father Captain Anderson – military police task force commander stationed in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. James is a recent graduate of Chaparral High School.
